  A/Prof Zee Wan Wong commenced her new role as the new Head of Oncology at Peninsula Health in August 2017. She holds a concurrent academic position as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor with Monash University and also teaches at the University of Melbourne Medical School, Department of Rural Health. More recently, she has accepted the role as a joint Clinical Director of Southern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service.
Zee Wan was the founding Clinical Director of Oncology Unit at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton and the Clinical Director of West Hume Regional Integrated Cancer Services. Her clinical focus is breast and gastrointestinal cancers as well as immunotherapy and has been very active in clinical research and teaching. She has led various initiatives such as expansion of the oncology service, setting up the clinical trials unit and obtaining RACP accreditation for oncology advanced training.
Zee Wan was the lead applicant for the Victorian Lung Cancer Redesign Project where Hume was one of two regional sites in Victoria awarded in 2016. She was the co-applicant for the Victorian Regional Cancer Clinical Trials Network project awarded last year by Cancer Council Victoria. She regularly lectures at the Living with Cancer and Cancer Survivorship workshops. Zee Wan was the principal investigator for various clinical trials including breast, lung, prostate and gastrointestinal cancers in collaboration with ANZBCTG, ALTG, ANZUP, and AGITG amongst others. She has actively represented Regional Victoria in several initiatives such as the Optimal Cancer Care Pathways, Victorian Tumour Summits and the Cancer Service Capability Framework Pilot. She is currently a Clinical Advisor for Cancer Council Victoria Clinical Network and a board member at Cancer Trials Australia.
Earlier this year, Zee Wan was successful in obtaining the Victorian Cancer Survivorship Project Grant as a lead applicant on behalf of her team at Peninsula Health evaluating older cancer survivors in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.
