The Southern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (SMICS) is partnering with key clinicians to host a Hormones and Female Cancers Conference in March of next year. The conference aims to explore the current thinking about the role of hormones in women who are at risk of breast and gynaecological cancers. There will be varying points of view, case studies and robust debate about:
• the role of hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women (risks and benefits) • cancer risk reduction therapies and the long term consequences for women • the impact of cancer treatment on women's health, sexuality, mood, fertility and bone health and the resultant strategies for treatment.
