Over one day a team of specialists led by Dr Dianne Clifton, the Medical Director of Psychosocial Cancer Care at St Vincent’s Health Melbourne, will deliver this is a one-day intensive experiential workshop through a process of demonstration, case illustration and role play, participants will experience the application of basic counselling skills to a range of clinical situations, including acute anxiety states, anger and expressions of fear of dying. Participants will be encouraged to discuss their own experiences of difficult situations throughout the day and these scenarios may be incorporated into the planned demonstrations.
This course should not be missed by nurses, radiation therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, speech therapists, other allied health workers andmedical staff.
