  Geraldine holds a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Training and Development. She spent her earlier career years working in the critical care field as a registered nurse and clinical educator, before progressing to service redesign and senior operational management positions at an Assistant Director of Nursing level.

Geraldine joined SMICS in 2010 working initially on a number of cancer service improvement projects. Geraldine has a keen interest in cancer research. She recently completed a pilot study on lung cancer referral pathways that led to a collaborative National Health and Medical Research Council grant application together with the Department of General Practice at Monash University, to fund further research in this area.
